Freelance editor & camera operator based in Bristol, with over a decade's experience in Broadcast, Corporate, Commercial & Education.
I'm a proficient and creative editor with a strong narrative sense and the technical knowledge to fully support this, with broadcast work as both an offline & online editor for BBC, ITV, C4, C5 & Sky. I am confident operating either independently or in close collaboration with producers and directors to tight deadlines. I've worked on corporate projects for a wide range of companies, including Lloyds bank, Aardman, Happold Engineering, Bank of Scotland, Cadburys, HTC, Forestry Commission, Department of Health & Education, NHS, and numerous other organisations and charities. I have a full offline/online (Final Cut, Premiere & Resolve) edit suite and extensive supporting software and am skilled in producing complementary graphics and FX work, audio editing and DVD Authoring (SD&HD) . As well as being a talented editor I am a competent, self-sufficient camera operator who is equally experienced working alongside a director. Proficient with a wide range of cameras from DLSR through to RED, I enjoy working in challenging environments on location, ranging from the Scottish highlands, to the slums of Ghana, or remote mountain ranges in NewZealand. Standing at 6'8 I can even provide a unique vantage point!! In 2011 I co-produced/directed, filmed and edited the film 'Voices from the Shadows' which won the audience award for International Feature Documentary at the Mill Valley Film Festival.
