Jay Williams Creative Director
Jay started his journalistic career as Assistant News Editor on the legendary weekly music magazine Sounds in 1982, and cut his teeth interviewing rock legends like Thin Lizzy, Black Sabbath and ZZ Top. He joined SWNS as a junior reporter in 1989 before being promoted to Chief Reporter after leading the reporting team on the Fred West saga. He then became a partner before leaving the newsdesk to set up 72Point in 2000, quickly securing a host of top clients such as Marks & Spencer, Tesco and Nationwide. He left the company in 2008, returning to the music industry to run social media campaigns for bands, before being lured back into news in 2011 to help SWNS set up a presence in Scotland after the company acquired three press agencies, in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow. In 2015 he returned to his beloved Bristol to resume his position as Creative Director of 72Point. ...
