We work at the intersection of people, place and technology. With foundations in digital placemaking, we are recognised as specialists in designing and delivering stellar location-based digital solutions for a wealth of leading clients including; Rolls-Royce, Battersea Power Station, Historic Royal Palaces and Avon Fire and Rescue. 

To deliver these projects we work as partners with our clients. This enables Calvium to understand all aspects of a project and successfully deliver location-based digital solutions that drive people’s engagement with a place and transform business outcomes.

As part of the £6.8m cultural programme, we created the ?Battersea Power Station Heritage Trail App? to offer the public a content-rich heritage experience and a wayfinding aid. Result: A more attractive destination that supports revenue generation during construction.

Key People

Jo Reid Managing Director

Jo brings her consultancy expertise and vast mobile design experience to the heart of the executive team. Holding an MBA and BSc in Computer Science, Jo was formerly a senior researcher at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories. As well as captaining the Calvium ship, Jo offers our clients expertise in mobile experience design, particularly in regards to location and context aware applications.

Richard Hull Executive Chairman

Richard holds a DPhil in Computer Science from Sussex University and has authored many publications and patents. One of Calvium?s founders and a previous Managing Director, Richard now brings his extensive experience of technology innovation and business development to Calvium?s board.

Jo Morrison Programme Director: Digital Innovation

Jo works at the intersection of design, research and business. Focussing on digital innovation, she creates and delivers successful strategies and projects to maximise impact, accelerate growth and create rich customer experiences across a range of sectors - including property, the creative and cultural industries and education. Discovering the opportunities and value that bespoke digital placemaking affords clients involved in large scale urban developments is a core area of Jo’s work - with the aim of creating more pleasurable, sustainable and citizen-centred future cities

Ben Clayton Technical Director

Ben has worked as a Research Assistant in the Computer Science department of Bristol University on the Mobile Bristol project. He holds a MEng in Computer Science from Bristol University. His technical understanding, in depth knowledge and penchant for problem solving allows Calvium to take on unexplored, innovative projects and tackle unchartered territory.

Kieron Gurner Project Manager & UX Designer

Kieron Gurner is a project manager and UX designer, putting stakeholder co-creation central to his approach. He has worked with clients across different sectors, including Tower Bridge Exhibition, Yodel, National Theatre and Historic Royal Palaces. His previous expertise as a developer has given him an understanding of the technical, as well as experience aspects of a project, providing an holistic approach to working. He holds a First Class BSc in Web Design from UWE, Bristol
