Jonathan Rees is an author, international speaker and facilitative trainer specialising in helping people and teams address and overcome adversities at work. He believes that work should be something to be enjoyed, not just endured.
Since 2010 he's delivered interactive workshops and keynote speeches to 1000's of people to build personal effectiveness, resilience, leadership capacity, team synergy and creative thinking with a wide range of organisations in the public and private sectors. These include: Govia Thameslink Railways, Avon & Somerset Constabulary, Metropolitan Police, Durham Constabulary, Greater Manchester Police, Kent & Essex Police, Intel, HFMA, EasyJet, EE, O2, Lloyds Banking Group, Standard Life and the University of Bristol where he’s a visiting fellow and lecturer.
Jonathan has delivered resilience workshops with more than 1100 police officers and staff across the UK and Ireland whilst developing the material for his book 'The Resilience Toolkit: Powerful ways to thrive in blue-light services’, which was published (by Bristol's 'The Right Book Company') in February 2019 and has sold nearly 1000 copies. That year he also spoke at major conferences including the South Wales Senior Leadership Conference (Police, Fire & Ambulance), the AHSN West conference, the ALAMA conference; and at the University of West Michigan.
People have said “Really interesting and engaging style”, “Very good pace - great balance of presentations and exercises”, “Jonathan is very engaging and really makes you think about yourself and the positive changes you can make to help yourself and others”, and even “You are captivating!"
Before 2010 he hid behind a mask of extensive experience in international IT. He's also run the London Marathon (in 2:51, once!). When it's time to shift gears, you'll find him at a lathe, out running, on a bike, or with a guitar in hand.
