But the Books was founded in 2016 and holds a bookkeeping licence from the Institute of Certified Bookkkepers (ICB). Our founder Zoe Whitman has 16+ years' experience working as an accountant for large organisations and now brings the small principals of finance for big business to small businesses, with a specific focus on the creative sector. We won the ICB's national Small Bookkeeping Practice of the Year Award in 2018.
MONTHLY BOOKKEEPING: We free up time for small businesses owners by taking on their monthly bookkeeping processes. We can help with accounts payables, receivables, VAT and payroll, and as well as giving you your time back, you can feel safe in the knowledge that you're in safe experienced hands. We work with Xero, QuickBooks and FreeAgent.
BUDGETING, FORECASTING & MANAGEMENT REPORTING SERVICES: Whether you need help building a one off budget or forecast for investment purposes or you need somebody to monitor your finances against your budget throughout the year, we can prepare detailed reports to help you stay on top of how your business is doing and to help you keep track of the KPIs which are really important to you without you having to wait for the year end.

Zoe is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and bookkeeping expert with 16 years industry experience working for large organisations such as the BBC, BT and Lloyds Banking Group. She's passionate about taking the monthly bookkeeping pain away from small business owners to free them up to do what they love - work on their businesses.
