Spring Forward focuses on authentic leadership
Sarah Pinch, Pinch Point Communications, launched her Spring Forward conference last year - aimed at women (with men warmly welcomed as well) who want to spring forward in their career and in 2019 the focus is on authentic leadership.
Sarah’s ongoing research tells us that women want to be leaders, are competent and qualified to take the roles; but are concerned about having to ‘fit in’ to change their own behaviours when they get into the board room. Sarah is bringing together a fantastic group of speakers, for the second year running, to talk about their own experiences and the work they are doing to ensure diversity is reflected at the highest levels of business and organisations.
Peaches Golding OBE, Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of the County and City of Bristol will be opening the day with her keynote session.
Sam Budd, CEO of The University of Bristol’s Student Union, a truly inspirational and trail-blazing woman is headlining the afternoon sessions.
Helen Moulinos, COO, Stonewall, rounds off the day.
There will also be breakout and panel sessions covering a range of topics:
Your Authentic Self – find out how our guests have remained true to themselves when they become leaders within their chosen organisations.
We look at how to get on a board – practical tips and recommendations from Women on Boards, a chair of governors, the Centre for public appointments and others.
The Reality of Being on a Board – what is it actually like? Can there be a balance? Four women in a boardroom position share their experiences and we are delighted that Sally Cordwell, CEO Bristol Old Vic and Heather Cooper, Chief People Officer, Hargreaves Lansdown will be joining this panel along with other speakers.
We also have a fantastic break out session with Sarah Pryce, chair of Cornwall Air Ambulance and Non-Executive Director for Royal Cornwall NHS Trust who will talk about: Resilient, Robust and Ready; Holding onto your sanity in an increasingly crazy world.
There will also be the chance to participate in our focus groups, to contribute to our ongoing research about culture, confidence and choice in the workplace.
