There’s still time for interested businesses to sign up as sponsors of Bath’s newest sculpture trail – Minerva’s Owls of Bath – coming to the World Heritage city for 3 months from 25 June 2018.

Minerva’s Owls of Bath will see a giant flock of large Owl and smaller Owlet sculptures on display, each individually decorated by talented artists, and sponsored by local businesses, schools and community groups.

Each of the large Owls will be fitted with an interactive beacon which will send information and interactive questions about that Owl to people’s phones as they approach. At the end of the trail, the sculptures will be auctioned off in aid of four local charities including the Forever Friends Appeal for the new RUH Cancer Centre, Bath Young Carers Centre, Roman Baths Archway Project and the UK Little Owl Project.

A host of businesses and schools are already on board, with many more waiting in the wings.  SouthGate Bath is headline sponsor, and Gold sponsors include MHA Monahans, Allen Ford, Norland College, Bath Per Cent Club, Curo Group and Bath BID.

Guy Henderson, Centre Manager at SouthGate Bath says:

“We’re delighted to have signed up as a Headline Sponsor of this great campaign that not only celebrates Bath’s rich heritage, but is sure to capture the imagination of Bath residents, visitors and businesses throughout the summer.”

Businesses interested in sponsoring an Owl are being urged to act quickly so they don’t miss out on the chance to be associated with this high-profile public arts event.  The final sponsorship deadline is 1 May, and sponsorship packs are available on the website at

Megan Witty, event organiser of Owls of Bath, comments:

“Minerva’s Owls of Bath 2018 offers unique sponsorship benefits, with excellent brand exposure, interaction and social media content throughout the year.  It’s going to be a hoot!”
