nymbl, is excited to announce the release of Acopperlypse VR! Some of you may remember seeing some of these copper characters last year at VR World Congress 2017, part of nymbl’s proof of concept (PoC) asymmetric two-player VR/hologram experience. The incredible feedback received throughout event inspired the Bristol-based 3d animation and interactive studio to develop and release a single-player VR version.
The backdrop is simple: a steampunk-inspired VR experience set in a dystopian future 439 years from now.
Free to download, Acopperlypse is a single-player VR game experience built for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
“Recent advances in how we render content is unquestionably heading towards realtime. Audiences can now interact, immerse, and customize their storytelling experience. Accopperlypse acted as a playground for our studio to establish workflows, good practices and thinking patterns for this wide gamut of immersive content creation.” Dan Barker, Technical Director at nymbl
