Chris Thurling who is leading the group said "SXSW is quite unlike any digital conference I've ever attended. It's a bit like Glastonbury mixed with the best TED talks - a cultural and intellectual experience all crammed into the centre of a city not that much bigger than Bristol. Last year's event kept me fuelled with ideas and inspiration for many months and I'm expecting this year to do the same. I'm really looking forward to hearing talks on the latest in robotics, artificial intelligence and virtual reality from some of the people at the cutting edge of these technologies. And I'm also really excited to be attending SXSW with over 20 fellow members of Bristol Media - I'm sure we will all have a great time together in Austin, but also carry on the conversations once we are back home."

We have asked everyone in the group to send us their thoughts, blogs, photos and videos each day so that we can keep you up to date with their activity and our friends at ADLIB will collate that information here on the Bristol Media website. We will publish daily pieces starting on Friday 11th March, the first day of SxSW Interactive, so you can keep up with all the latest news from the world's largest interactive festival, as well as what the group get up to "outside of work" (if that's publishable).
