Having run ‘The Apprentice’ challenge for the duration of January, Bristol-based creative communications agency, Research Media has today announced a fundraising total of £6,188.78 from across the month for charity Plan International.

‘The Apprentice’ challenge saw company directors John Eggleton, director of business development and operations; Caroline Herbert, commercial director and Janine Burr-Willans, editorial director lead three teams into business battle to raise the most money over the course of the month.  Teams were required to put their business nous into practice, coming up with innovative ways to raise funds and maintain momentum.

The judging panel, made up of CEO, Vicky Williams; head of design, Paul Martin and head of marketing, Laura Stanley kept the competition lively by throwing in a variety of tasks along the way.

All of the activity over the month-long challenge was varied and imaginative.  Be it a sponsored ‘waxathon’ or shellac nail painting; creating a children’s book or a cake sale; drawing caricatures of loved ones or a glamorous evening event, the agency threw itself into the fundraising efforts.  Research Media is particularly grateful to the range of local business that got behind the challenge with such enthusiasm.

Working within a niche sector of research and academia, Research Media is passionate about Plan International’s goals.  The funds raised will help the charity to build a better future for some of the world’s poorest children in more than 50 countries across the globe, helping them to fulfil their potential through projects to improve education and healthcare.
