Reach for the Stars!

Bristol is celebrating its global status in aerospace with an exciting new interactive museum, learning centre and home for Concorde – the Bristol Aerospace Centre – and the production team want to work with local creative talent to create a great visitor experience in audio-visual interactives and virtual and robotics-based experiences.

You can find out more about the plans and the tendering process at a special briefing in The Engine Shed on 1st December, starting at 5.30 pm in Brunel’s Board Room.

It’s a great opportunity to connect into a globally significant industry right on our doorstep, and take your expertise into events by working with one of the nation’s top teams!

The development on Filton Airfield will reunite a site of world significance (one of the birthplaces of British aviation) with a fascinating collection of objects, archives and memories to tell the stories of design and engineering achievement and the people who made it happen. With Filton still a centre of excellence in the global aerospace industry, we will continue to celebrate its success and seek to inspire new generations of designers, technicians, innovators and engineers.

Primarily targeting a family audience, the large exhibitions will use a multi-layered, mixed media approach including working exhibits, hands-on learning activities, 2-D displays, audio-visual, mobile and web technologies, interactives and games to encourage discovery and experimentation.

The session will include details on the competitive tender process for media work packages required for the exhibitions.
