Serial creative.

I consider myself a fortunate fella to work with such a superb team with heaps of experience and tremendous creative firepower. I learn something new every day in this place. I’m proud of our ability to furnish our wall of fame with an ever more impressive array of  brand giants like Coke, Red Bull, Three mobile and Akzo Nobel. We’ve also had close contact with Bristol Media for many years and frequently support their events and initiatives that generate plenty of noise for the region.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

Taller.  So that I could see over the market stall I grew up on working with my folks.  But, seriously - it was always going to be something more creative than my humble but hard-working roots.

If you weren’t doing this job now, what would you be doing?

Indulging in travel and photography.

Who do you most admire in business and why?

Those who manage to satisfy high standards, impress others, remain level-headed and positive and respect family time with little compromise.

What do you do when you’re not at work?

Make time for great food and messing about with the kids.  Occasionally breaking out the longboard (skate not surf) or practicing the unicycle.

What’s your favourite ad campaign/TV programme of the year so far and why?

Guinness ‘Made of more’ has been a rolling favourite from white horses to wheelchair basketball, to sappers to the surge for rugby world cup, all ground breaking. TV programme… Gogglebox is a super compelling experiment in people watching people, watching people.  I find both irresistible.

What music are you listening to (on your phone/ipod)?

No music, I’m on a strict diet of comedy – stand-up podcasts and classic scripts.

What’s your tipple?

Macallan 25yr if you’re buying.

Tell us one highlight of your career so far

Having daily river taxis take me across Sydney harbour to a photographic shoot with the makeup artist whose claim to fame was painting the flash on Ziggy Stardust’s face, to shoot a campaign for a rock musical featuring Terence Trent d’Arby. You just couldn’t make it up.

And one highlight of your life so far

Travelling around Madagascar with my wife. As well as a heap of other long haul destinations – there’s nothing like experiencing ‘new’.

Who would be your ideal dinner guest and why?

Chaplain, Barker or Kay, creative geniuses who mastered their art. Great food and spontaneous banter is a must in any dinner guest.

What programme on TV/online do you try not to miss?

The news. The Week. Propeller. Digital Buzz. And I’m a sucker for foodie programmes and anything with Attenborough.

Apart from your phone, what’s the gadget you can’t live without?

iMac (hard to tell where my fingers end and the mouse begins)/DSLR camera (loving super long exposures and time-lapse right now)/Coffee machine (used every day).
