PRCA South West & Wales Winter Warmer Event Set to Raise PR’s Profile

Published on Tuesday, 10th November 2015

The Public Relations Consultants Association South West & Wales is delighted to announce its flagship event of the year in Bristol on 24th November.

The Power of PR: The PRCA’s Winter Warmer event is set to inform, inspire and educate PRs and the wider business community in the South West and Wales. The event, which will be held at The Station, Bristol, on 24th November, sets out to raise the profile of PR in the region. With inspiring keynote speakers, taster PR training sessions for business owners, creatives and PRs at all levels, structured networking, food, drink and live entertainment, this event is not one to be missed.

The event comes at a time when the creative hub of the South West continues to hot up: entrepreneurship, innovation, independent business and creative collaboration are on the up; businesses are expanding at an unprecedented rate, and at the heart of getting this right is PR. What is PR? What is its purpose? How can it be harnessed, and at what point is it worth investing in an agency or consultancy?

The training sessions will set out to provide everybody with a deeper insight into various aspects of PR, as well as equip smaller business owners with the DIY basics. Thought-provoking keynote speakers – watch this space for more information  - will cover the importance of planning for a crisis; growth, expansion and protection of your business; and PR ethics and CSR.

Later in the day there is an opportunity to participate in structured networking. The event is drawing attention from a diverse range of businesses, PR consultancies and creative freelancers; amongst them ought to be a plethora of connections to be made and collaborative opportunities.

The evening will comprise food – courtesy of our partner Food & Drink Devon – drink (we’re promised mulled wine), and live music. The perfect festive end to what is set to be an educational, inspiring and constructive day.

Tickets are £20 for non-members, however we are extending our special members’ rate of £10 to Bristol Media members. Please email for more information.
