Have your say on the future of the creative economy
On Wednesday 14th October, under the banner of Creative Bristol, the IPA and Creative England are joining forces with Bristol Media and others in Bristol and Bath to discuss the national strategy for the creative industries and take soundings on how it relates to Bristol and Bath.
With a star-studded cast of thought leaders from across the industry and region, it promises to be an informative and engaging debate.
It’s a pivotal time for the UK creative industries. Not only are they one of the most exciting and sought-after career paths for young people; they are also one of the most significant to the future growth of the UK economy, and to the reputation of the UK globally.
That’s why the Creative Industries Council (CIC), a working group bringing together government and industry, have developed a new industrial strategy for the UK Creative Industries, to reinforce the UK’s position as a world leader, with ambitious plans for growth by 2020 in the areas of:
- Access to finance
- Education and skills
- Intellectual property
The event findings will be reported on The Drum Creative Cities hub and on the Creative Industries Council marketing portal www.thecreativeindustries.co.uk.
Thanks to the generous support of Gregg Latchams, the event is FREE to attend. Reserve your place via the Eventbrite booking system.
