Play Nicely Welcome Two New Team Members
Play Nicely is run by Ollie Lindsey and Scott Fletcher from their hidden headquarters in Bristol’s cultural quarter. Having established a strong reputation in the arts, culture and entertainment sector, they’re soon to release their most high profile use of their technology within an interactive narrative. Off the back of this and a year of similarly successful campaigns, Play Nicely continue to grow, their two most recent appointments being introduced below.
Neil Commander joined in August as Digital Producer after honing his skills working at agencies such as Aardman and Pixillion, helping to create award-winning mobile apps as well as Unity & HTML5 games for the likes of the BBC, Sky and the Met Office. Neil’s technical understanding and creative interest mean he has settled quickly into the culture of the studio and already seems indispensable.
Paul Johnson joins principally as a Unity Developer, though he has a suite of technical skills to augment our already diverse development team. The Argentinian-American comes straight from his Masters in Advanced Computing at the University of Bristol. Ollie was particularly impressed by his Master’s Project BrightMob a collaborative virtual environment allowing students to upload school assignments to a 3D virtual environment and mark, discuss and complete them in real-time.
The guys will firstly be joining the Mondelez team to help deliver their second AR advent calendar for Milka and after that it is straight on to projects for The National Theatre. So it is an exciting time for Play Nicely who are also receiving increased interest in their VR and 360’ filming and gameplay expertise and that's not to mention Kinect.
On the new recruits Scott says ‘It’s always exciting to welcome new team members and so it is with Neil and Paul whose appointments demonstrate Play Nicely’s continued growth as an agency able to conceive and deliver projects that others simply cannot.’
