Introducing Bob Martin Vetcare
Our client, Bob Martin, have been in the business of keeping pets healthy since 1892. They sell a range of pet care products, from prescription medicines to accessories. Since their 19th century beginnings, they have continued to innovate – their products are now available in all major supermarkets.
They’re now taking this innovation to the next level by launching an ecommerce site – something we’re very proud to have created for them.
The techy bit
The site was built using Kentico 8.2, using the MVC framework for presentation. This combination lets us highly customise the UI, while harnessing Kentico’s CMS and ecommerce capabilities. Our solution seamlessly integrates with the Khaos Control ERP, using web services to keep product, stock, customer, pet, and order information in sync between the two systems.
The solution is as robust as it is complex. We’re proud to have made the most of Kentico’s new ecommerce offering by upgrading our own customisations to give product variant and option functionality. We plan to use Kentico 8.1’s discount and shipping models in the future.
The site is fully responsive, using the latest front-end tech to provide the best experience for users on any device. This solution is a great example of how we create innovative systems that have the user at the heart: fast, responsive UI, complex integrations, and a unique approach to the Kentico framework to provide an ecommerce solution that fits our client perfectly.
Looking to the future
We already manage PPC, display and SEO for the new Vetcare site. We are currently working on their new corporate site too. This will give the brand a hub packed with excellent, valuable content for pet owners. It will be the go-to resource for everyone who wants to have a happy, healthy pet, featuring how-to videos, Q&A sessions with their resident vet, and thought leadership articles.
