Ensure your next job application is a success!

If you're about to enter the job market, are a freelancers, are returning to work after a break, or are just getting itchy feet, this workshop will enable you with all the tools and information you need to write the perfect CV and manage your interview skills.

The CV element is presented by Liz Gadd of Social Heads and the Interview Skills element by Joanna Crosse. Both have many years' experience in the creative and media sector, Liz as a recruiter and Joanna as a presenter, trainer and coach.  The Workshop will take place on Monday 29th June from 2.30pm-6.30pm in The Orangery at Goldbrick House. There will be a tea break with an opportunity to network and speak directly with the presenters. Creating the Perfect CV - 1430-1600

Even in this fascinating world of social media and online applications, your CV is still the most important tool in your job finding tool kit.  This interactive workshop will help you shape a brilliant CV that is fit for purpose!  We’ll discuss how the CV works with your online portfolio and profile (including Linked In) and ensure that you know how to create and use a great CV to find a new job or more clients if you are a freelancer.

You’ll be advised on structure, content, presentation and use and be given some great tips and hints on covering letters and styles of approach, including networking and speculative approaches.

Liz Gadd has 25 years experience in placing marketing, creative and PR people into both permanent and freelance roles, is industry qualified in recruitment and knows a lot of people!  You can book for a one to one session with Liz or one of the team at our CV Surgery workshop, (date to be confirmed)”

How to impress at an interview - 1630-1830

Interviews are your golden and unique opportunity to impress and get the job!

However, statistics have recently revealed that 85% of people who go for an interview are rejected within the first five minutes because of their lack of interpersonal skills, they make no impact or the wrong impact!  And first impressions are made within one second of meeting.

The main reason interviewees let themselves down is by not preparing properly and letting their nerves get the better of them, which we aim to address.

In this workshop, communication and confidence coach Joanna Crosse will show you how to plan and prepare for any interview situation and succeed. The key is to be able to be yourself and make sure you’re managing the message, whilst having confidence in your CV and portfolio and the role for which you are applying.

In this workshop we will look at job interviews, internal promotional interviews and redundancy opportunities. The key areas we will cover are:
