Dirty Design create branding for Bristol's first highly sustainable Passivhaus housing development

In the year which has seen Bristol become the European Green Capital, Bristol-based graphic design agency, Dirty Design, have been working closely with property developers Urbis Living, to create the branding for Bristol’s first highly sustainable Passivhaus housing development, Picture House Court in Bedminster.

Picture House Court is the work of North Street Investments, a partnership between Urbis Living and the sustainable property investors Bridges Ventures.

Zara Kwok, Account Manager at Dirty Design said: “We wanted to create a unique identity for Picture House Court that complimented the modern, forward-thinking approach of Passivhaus.”

The new development will bring 26 attractive, high quality houses and apartments to the area, which are designed and built to the strict standards of Passivhaus. These new homes will use smart metering to manage energy consumption and utilise solar thermal power for their water and heating.

Zara added “We created a bespoke typeface and a recognisable abstract silhouette which were both inspired by the shape of the architecture itself. The design reflects a new approach to building homes, but also captures the warmth and spirit of the community.”

Since launching the online and offline marketing collateral the response has been phenomenal with buyers found for all phase one properties within the first week.
