e3 win seventeenth industry award this year for Royal Navy at the Sitecore Experience Awards 2014
e3 are delighted to have lifted yet another trophy for their work with the Royal Navy, winning Best Government and Public Sector at the Sitecore Experience Awards (SEAs) 2014, held at the renowned KOKO in Camden, London last night.
The awards were presented in recognition of e3's role in the reinvigoration of the Royal Navy’s digital strategy, which included an overhaul of its website and the creation of a suite of digital recruitment brochures. The site is now fully responsive and tells the breadth of the Royal Navy’s story in a way that speaks the visual and verbal language of the millennial audience it needs to attract. The agency were also nominated for Best DMS Deployment / Integration and the ROI Award.
Challenges solved using the Sitecore solution include serving a diverse audience, including politicians and the upper echelons of the Naval Service – through to recruiters and the families of servicemen and women. The workflow within Sitecore also enabled the implementation of a flexible workflow system to mitigate the complex Navy internal organisational structure and the use of DMS will allow us to serve relevant dynamic content to users based on their interests.
The Royal Navy website has achieved consistently excellent results since its launch in June – overall visitor conversion to the site has jumped from 0.6% to 2.06%, organic search traffic has increased by 94% and the number of social shares has increased to 2038 per month, demonstrating a 363% increase. Applications on mobile are also up 483%, proving that the new solution now successfully utilises mobile to fulfil the Royal Navy’s goal of increasing applications.
Gary Trimnell, Head of Development, e3 said: “We are thrilled to take home the Sitecore Experience Award for Best Government and Public Sector for our work with Royal Navy, against some fierce competition. The team at e3 has done a fantastic job with Sitecore at its centre, providing a good solid foundation to support the Royal Navy’s future ambitions - a fantastic way to end the year.”
Neil Collard, MD, e3 said: “We are delighted our work with Royal Navy has been recognised by the industry for the seventeenth time this year. We are extremely proud of the work we have done and the part we’ve played here at e3 in delivering an outstanding experience for Royal Navy customers.”
