Dirty Design create memorable limited edition beer label design for The Chiltern Brewery's Ruby Ale to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of WW1

Following last year’s award winning packaging created for The Chiltern Brewery’s Ruby Ale to celebrate 40 years of CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide, Bristol based agency Dirty Design have once again created a memorable, limited edition beer label design, this time to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of World War One.

Writer and editor of CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide, Roger Protz, suggested brewing a Flanders Ale with The Chiltern Brewery to mark the centenary and the close brewing links between Belgium and Britain.

Martin Brewer, Account Director at Dirty Design says: “We drew upon cues from the period features of Belgian architecture, to create an ornate Art Nouveau inspired design, which captures the spirit of the time and secures its deserved premium positioning on shelf”.

Head Brewer of The Chiltern Brewery, Tom Jenkinson adds: “We really hope that Flanders Pale Ale will be a fitting memorial to the spirit and bravery of the soldiers of 1914 and a celebration of this wonderful beer style and the many links between the Belgian and British brewers”.
