Charity marketing conference draws sector leaders
Leading fundraisers, marketers and PR specialists are gathering in Bristol on October 16 for The Chartered Institute of Marketing‘s (CIM) South West Charity Marketing Conference 2014.
Ten marketing and fundraising experts will be addressing delegates on the sector’s communication challenges including; customer and stakeholder engagement, campaigns for change, crisis communications, social media and emerging trends within fundraising.
Rachel Baker, Head of Marketing and Communications for St Monica Trust and CIM SW Charity Ambassador, said: “The aim of the conference is to provide not-for-profit marketers and fundraisers with an affordable day away from the office that offers relevant and thought-provoking ideas, as well as networking opportunities.”
The conference includes a question and answer session for delegates to pose their own specific challenges to the panel. Chair of the Institute of Fundraising South West Paul Courtney commented: “The issue of trust, developing fundraising methods and building sustainable relationships with donors, are some of the critical challenges we face daily. It will be interesting to hear fellow panellists’ thoughts and experiences.”
The conference is being hosted by St Monica Trust, a charity providing accommodation, care and support for older and disabled people and is supported by Bristol-based exhibition services and print company Hobs Reprographics.
A few delegate places are still available - tickets are from £55 for the full day. Information on the full programme and bookings is available via http://www.cim.co.uk/Events/64379 or by telephone on (0)1628 427340
