Icon Films bolsters growth with new appointments

Bristol-based factual producer Icon Films appoints three new staff to bolster growth.

Bristol-based factual producer Icon Films has hired Stephen McQuillan and Jonathan Jackson to join their Senior Management Team as part of the strategy to grow the company. McQuillan has joined as Executive Producer to work across development and production, and Jackson has been appointed to the newly created role of Financial Director.

In addition Tom Cooper has been hired as Post Production Supervisor and will be managing the existing in-house off-line edit suites and digital strategy as well as overseeing the fit out of 6 new off-line suites that are part of the office expansion.

Stephen McQuillan brings a strong journalistic background and has worked extensively on BBC’s flagship strand Panorama.  

Jonathan Jackson has come to Icon Films after six years with Digital Rights Group (DRG), a leading independent worldwide distributor.  In his last year, as Group Managing Director, he successfully led the sale to Modern Times Group in June 2013

Tom Cooper has come to Icon Films from London based Atlantic Productions where, as Facilities Manager, he was responsible for their 5 off-line HD/3D edit suites and managing the workflow for a number of major productions for Sky 3D.
