Production company Icon Films has scored 12 nominations spanning categories from best specialist factual to best newcomer, for shows such as River Monsters, BigFoot Files and Hustling America.

Millionaire Boy Racers, the ob doc from Oblong Films about Arab-owned supercars, is handed three nominations- best documentary, director and editing.

Andrew Batten-Foster, Chair of RTS Bristol comments: “It is a fantastic year for the Royal Television Society Awards. This time we celebrate the exceptional work of more than a hundred and fifty of the region`s top creative talent, along with their very best programmes and digital projects. The judges have been hugely impressed with the standard of the entries, which have been as terrific as ever and we`re excited to welcome Evolutions Bristol on board as our new title sponsor. Indeed, we`d also like to thank all our sponsors for their support, without whom this event would be nowhere near as glamorous or fun to organise. We always try to throw an excellent party at the Awards night itself so hope to see a good turnout at The Old Vic.”

The RTS West of England Awards will take place on Sunday March 9th at the Bristol Old Vic. The glittering gala ceremony will be hosted by Carol Vorderman and will be a very special evening to celebrate the achievements of the regional creative community.

Tickets are on sale from Monday 10th February from the Bristol Old Vic box office for £42 including VAT. Please call 0117 987 7877. If you are a nominee, please let the Bristol Old Vic know when booking tickets, so they can seat you in an area near the stage.
