Bristol based ecommerce company Koan has undergone a major rebrand in order to further establish themselves as a producer of innovative online digital products.

Previously known as 2T Limited, Koan UK is most famous for its online beauty retail website Bath & Unwind which has grown significantly over a 10 year period and trades globally.  Following this success, the company has recruited a new team of technical and creative designers to work on developing other scalable online products which will be taken to market in the next 12 months.    To help develop the business behind this portfolio, the company made the decision to change its name to Koan and used its in-house team of graphic designers and web developers to come up with the new brand id and website which reflects its long term plans.

Speaking of the changes, Creative Director and founder Lee Tracey said “Koan (pronounced Co-hen) comes from Japanese origins and means to pose a question publicly.  We basically see it as a concept of challenging how we think which fits well with our mission to redefine the web and build the best experiences for customers with the things we create.”

Lee’s business partner, co-founder and Operations Director Dave Telford, added: “It’s a very exciting time for us at the moment.  We’ve proven that we can build a successful online brand by combining our technical and business expertise and we’re now ready to use our experiences to create more.  The new company name and branding reinforces the talent that we have within our own team and sets a great foundation for the future”.
