Tours of BBC Bristol studios
BBC Bristol is offering the chance to take a tour and have a peek behind the scenes of programmes such as BBC Points West. Visitors are taken into the TV studio and gallery and visit Radio Bristol studios as well as hearing about programmes produced here including the Natural History Unit’s Springwatch and favourite programmes like Antiques Roadshow and Bargain Hunt. Many Radio 4 programmes are made in Bristol such as Poetry Please and radio dramas.
The visit ends with a chance to have a go at reading the news or presenting the weather or making a radio play with sound effects in the Interactive Studio. Tours take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and some Saturdays at 1000, 1245 and 3.15pm and take about 1 hour 45 minutes. For bookings and more information, visit www.bbc.co.uk/tours. For group bookings of 10 people or more, please call 0370 901 1227. Tours are suitable for people of all ages above 10.
