Bristol Media's first Master Class day a great success

Over 70 delegates from creative businesses across Bristol and Bath attended our first Master Class day on Monday 17th June

Over 70 delegates from creative businesses across the South West converged in Osborne Clarke's Bristol offices yesterday for a day of Master Classes covering creative growth, expanding internationally, adaptive planning, mobile apps, PPC, strategy planning and native marketing.

Agencies such as Blue Marlin, EMO, SAINTNICKS, Oakwood Media, Opposable Games, Future Publishing, Koan, Octane, TSPM, Wildfire, Renegade Media, MOTION, and Flourish heard speakers from Smart Traffic, Search Star, Dyson, Friska Food, Bray Leino,  Coull and Taxi Studio and all went away with a folder full of Top Ten Tips.

James Trezona, MD at Mason Zimbler talked about the highs and lows of expanding into the States and the experiment they carried out when two creatives from Bristol and Texas swapped roles for two weeks.

Plenty of delegates were interested to hear about the experience of working in an in-house agency from Dyson's Head of Advertising Leigh Abbosh.  And GemmaColes and Emma Pengelly from award winning app producers Mubaloo, ran a packed session on defining the role of an app, making it useful, marketing it and future proofing it.

Tom Harding, a Media Lawyer at Osborne Clarke gave us all something to think about with his session on how we should be using UGC and Twitter and still keep on the right side of the law.

Creative Skillset, who supported the day made contacts with many of the delegates during the networking sessions to talk about the opportunities available via their Apprenticeship Scheme and two of their current apprentices working at Tick Box Marketing and Immediate Media were on hand to offer their experiences of the scheme so far.
