Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the role of Marketing Executive is to organise and deliver compelling marketing campaigns that help drive brand awareness and advocacy. You will develop and deliver engaging content and community activity to help build a brand that people love. This role will be based in Bristol, split between working from home and in our shared co-working space. Occasional travel will be required (primarily to Birmingham and London).

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Head of Marketing to develop and execute the Digital strategy and annual Marketing plan
  • Create (and curate) content, including text, photography and video for use on social media
  • Ensure brand coherence across all social media platforms and consumer touchpoints
  • Plan and schedule content using applications such as TweetDeck, Facebook Business Manager and Schedugram
  • Manage a budget to spend on boosting posts and paid advertising on social media
  • Reactively and proactively engage with our online community
  • Establish and maintain our relationship with key influencers and fans, including coordinating any influencer marketing campaigns 
  • Track and analyse the effectiveness of social posts and campaigns using applications such as Iconosquare, Facebook Business Manager, Twitter Analytics, Google Analytics, Brand24, reporting on these monthly to ensure we are growing our online community while ensuring engagement levels remain high  
  • Ensure that data continually informs our strategy and is fed into future plans
  • Stay up to date with social media changes and trends
  • Plan and execute our monthly newsletters and continue to grow our subscriber list
  • Establish brand partnerships and coordinate competitions
  • Maintain the website, create new content (journal posts, commission recipes) and review Google Analytics, coordinating any updates necessary to improve UX with our Web Agency
  • Assist the Sales & Marketing teams by creating marketing materials and ensuring these adhere strictly to our brand guidelines – to include adverts (digital and print), merchandise (bags, aprons), POS materials, etc.  
  • Support the Sampling & Events Manager at events and ensure we are amplifying these on social
  • Support our PR agency with social and influencer activity

Person specification

Knowledge & Experience

  • Has 2+ years’ experience working in a Social Media and/or Marketing role
  • Experience with social media tools and applications as well as website management, ideally with Wordpress, and email marketing (Mailchimp)
  • Ideally proficient in Adobe Creative suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom, Photoshop)

Key skills

  • Understanding of Digital platforms and how organisations promote themselves through social media
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Good analytical skills and the ability to adapt strategy based on insight and learnings 
  • Excellent creative skills –  design, photography and video, including editing experience
  • Good organisational and planning skills
