Job description

Cod Steaks is a multi-disciplinary design and construction company specialising in bespoke 3D solutions for retail & leisure, museum & heritage, public art, film & TV, PR & marketing. We produce everything from intricate miniature models to large scale themed interiors (visit to see the full diversity of our work).

Our company is comprised of a dynamic team of talented creatives, who really pull together to make things happen. The in-house team includes designers, model-makers, sculptors, carpenters, metalworkers, spray and artwork finishers. We maintain a professional and supportive working environment, where everyone is expected to muck in to deliver outstanding results.

We are currently looking for Project Manager(s) with experience in the Retail, Leisure, Museum and Heritage sectors. Successful candidates will manage our in house design and construction team, overseeing project delivery and installation.

We value our talented team of crafts men/women and are looking for PMs who understand the creative process, with the ability to support this talent.

Key to the role is effective budget and time management of both our in house team and external suppliers.

You must be both diplomatic and firm when handling clients and other contractors, keeping a close eye on budget and schedule.

In addition to the running of projects, you will also be responsible for the submission of PQQs, tenders and quotations and all work essential to pitching and presenting to clients.

Candidates will need to work alongside our creative team in Bristol and will be considered on both a freelance and permanent basis.


Person specification


  • Proven track record in Project Management - minimum of 4 years’ experience within the Retail, Leisure, Museum and Heritage sectors
  • Knowledge of materials and processes
  • Budget, time and site management
  • Management of client and external suppliers
  • Experienced in production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Excellent communicator with the flair to engage at all levels combining a strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise multiple tasks
  • Ability to read technical working drawings
  • Able to travel within the UK and abroad
  • Experienced in PQQs and tender submissions
  • Design skills a bonus
