We are a digital marketing business focused entirely on delivering results for our clients. We offer a full range of services including SEO, social management, paid advertising, content services, email marketing and more – to over 300 SMEs and a host of white-label partners across the UK.

The Bigg team is currently 36 strong but we’re looking to expand by bringing the best talent Bristol has to offer into our office. Working to secure new business relationships for Bigg’s Direct division, the Business Development Executive is responsible for sourcing, nurturing and closing opportunities to grow our revenue channel for direct end-user clients. Reporting into the Head of Commercial, the right candidate will have proven experience in managing a successful new business pipeline – alongside an ability to effectively lead source and identify opportunities at speed – with a self-governing and extremely driven approach to achieving monthly revenue targets, and a passion for creating value.

Key Responsibilities 

While the successful candidate will be extremely well-organised, carry strong written and verbal communications – and have a natural affinity for identifying business needs and handling complex objections – the role will also carry the following responsibilities: 

  • Ownership of a monthly & quarterly new business revenue target 
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to meeting and exceeding sales targets, complemented by an ability to plan independently towards required business outcomes 
  • Acquiring new business by outbound phone and face-to-face appointments, with the ability to close inbound enquiries 
  • Proactive lead sourcing, development and prospecting – including an ability to quickly establish opportunity potential and orchestrate subsequent sales positioning 
  • Real-time updating of Bigg’s CRM to manage your personal sales pipeline and opportunity tracking against revenue 
  • Continuous evolution of product knowledge – at both Bigg and industry levels – to ensure best practice recommendations and thought-leadership 
  • The tenacity to connect with high volumes of prospects and overcome initial objections

Knowledge & Experience

  • Ownership of a monthly & quarterly new business revenue target 
  • Digital marketing (SEO & PPC) and/or direct end-user sales experience is not essential, but preferred 
  • A self-starting, creative thinker with a passionate drive for sales and a motivation to take on the next stage of their sales career 
  • The ability to learn quickly – and a natural want to continuously grow their knowledge of sales strategy
