We need your brain! Aardman has spent the last 40 years bringing characters & stories to people around the world, and we believe passionately that these moments can be formed and told across many platforms, with gaming in particular, a big part of our future.
We’ve been making games for over 10 years, and released our debut console title last November. We’re now about to embark on our next major project and are looking for a game designer with the desire to tell epic stories, make people giggle/cry/ponder as appropriate, but most importantly who cares deeply about crafting beautiful games.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Games Designer to help develop new ideas and work with us to take our new console titles from development through to production, creating brilliant gameplay mechanics, overseeing new features, and working with the director and producer to ensure the game world is realised in the best way possible.
The role requires excellent creative thinking and communication skills and a deep passion and knowledge of games and all things digital. This passion should be infectious, inspiring the team to push boundaries, and be the best they can be. You can see a good selection of our work here: http://www.aardman.com/work/
In November 2018, Aardman became an Employee Owned organisation, ensuring that the studio remains independent and securing the creative legacy and culture of the company for the future.
