Job description

Atomic Smash are looking for an experienced digital project manager.

Atomic Smash is a growing technology company based right next to Temple Meads. We are currently specialising in using modern open source technology (WordPress and WooCommerce) to deliver online solutions for a range of clients, from International Art Galleries to Trampoline Parks. Our focus is to help our clients achieve their goals online.

We are looking for someone to join our company who shares our passion for all things digital and the Internet, especially websites and WordPress / WooCommerce. Atomic Smash is a small studio of 10 people. We are very technically minded as a studio and there is a total crossover between design and development, we really understand the web design process from start to finish whilst we also realise that projects are never really ‘complete’. There will always be room for iterations and improvements.

We are a very friendly studio that understands the pressures of life and always take a people first approach to business. We are always happy to discuss flexible working hours however we would not be looking for someone to work remotely due to our collaborative process with other staff and clients. We occasionally have office dogs visiting, so please let us know if you are not comfortable with this.

There are lots of exciting projects running through the studio from both the creative and the technical aspect.

Recent projects include:

  • Spike Island
  • Bristol Pride
  • ForrestBrown
  • Positive News
  • Whitechapel Gallery London
  • 38 degrees
  • Bristol Festival of ideas
  • Studio Voltaire & House of Voltaire
  • In Between Time Festival
  • One25
  • Knowle West Media Centre
  • Little White Lies

At Atomic Smash we design and develop websites for businesses and organisations, all our projects range in size and no two are ever the same.

We are looking for someone to join as a digital project manager. The role will involve having oversight of all the different projects and tasks that are running through the studio and be able to work with the design and development teams to ensure projects are running smoothly. Currently we have a number of large continuous delivery contracts that sit along side some new and exciting projects, part of the role will be helping to manage time and schedule in future work.

We are willing to consider someone for a reduced hours role if that is required to fit around their schedule.

Being able to suggest new processes and more efficient workflows would also be very beneficial.

A typical day for the candidate in the office may possibly include:

  • Communicating with team members about in progress projects
  • Scheduling the production team
  • Responding to issues and filtering these into current workloads
  • Use multiple software tools to control deadlines and milestones
  • Planning project requirements and scoping out work
  • Working with the internal designers and developers to make sure projects get delivered on time
  • Keeping up to speed on emerging technologies and new ways of working

Salary depends on experience. £25 – £30K

No agencies.

Please fill in the following form or contact the office on 0117 933 8513 if you have further questions.

Only candidates who are chosen for an interview are guaranteed to be contacted, however we will endeavour to get back to everyone (depending on volume of applicants)

We are looking to recruit ASAP, so please note this role could be closed if the relevant candidate comes along.
