We’re looking for a talented Traffic Manager to fill a new role in the business, implementing improved processes and trafficking the flow of projects through the agency’s teams, to meet the growing scale and complexity of projects as our business grows. 

The Traffic Manager will work day to day with the Senior Management Team (SMT) – Client Services Director, Digital Experience Director, Head of Data and Strategy and Planning Director – and their respective teams.

You’ll have at least two years' experience of traffic management and project management within a marketing agency environment, working with client service teams, planners, creatives and developers. You’ll also be comfortable using systems and data to plan, manage and provide management information on team resourcing and utilisation.

Personally, you’ll be highly organised, a great communicator who is comfortable working with colleagues at all levels in the organisation, a clear thinker with a flair for problem-solving who thrives is a lively team environment where requirements from clients can change at short notice.

Key Responsibilities

Co-ordinating the trafficking process

  • Facilitate and minute our monthly resource forecasting meeting, building and maintaining the ongoing resource plan for the SMT
  • Run the Agency’s weekly traffic meeting, collating and updating resource requirements for client projects
  • Manage daily ad-hoc trafficking and resource requirements, solving bottlenecks and escalating issues to SMT and CEO if required
  • Maintaining and updating our internal resource scheduling system (Forecast)

Resource Management

  • Maintain and build the agency’s freelance and contractor network, monitoring availability and matching freelancer to resource need when required to supplement internal team resource
  • Support project owners in the client service team with resource estimating
  • Internally publicise available resource to maximise this version

MI and reporting

  • Analyse project data from our resource tracking system (Harvest) to report on team utilisation

Specific skills and experience

  • Experience of working with traffic management processes and systems in an agency environment
  • Specific experience with Harvest and/or Forecast a bonus
  • Strong organization and forward planning skills
  • Good people skills – an ability to communicate solutions and process, considering the differing requirements of different teams and stakeholders
  • A desire to achieve high-quality standards with strong attention to detail
  • A diplomatic and problem-solving attitude, with the ability to be firm and fair
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and escalate in a factual and unemotional way
