Job description

Diva has an exciting opportunity for versatile freelance Multimedia Designer/Developers to join the roster at our award-winning Creative Agency.

We believe happiness comes from loving what you do and we’ve built the agency around that. Unrivalled passion, boundless creativity and raw talent sit under one roof, forming one of the biggest and best creative agencies in the South West. A fast-paced, unique, independent creative agency where hard work meets play, with a team who love what they do and thrive in our eclectic environment. Our team are the heart of the agency. Each and every one has the power to shape our future and we value them as much as we encourage them to value each other.

The Role

This position will best suit versatile candidates who have a passion for HTML/CSS animation and front-end development, along with an interest in advertising and marketing. You’ll have a keen eye for creative design, first-class attention to detail and a passion for technical accuracy.

Successful candidates will need to demonstrate relevant experience from previous work, preferably in an agency environment, of creating animated banners with strong static designs. Evidence of having used third-party ad serving platforms such as Sizmek or DoubleClick is also essential.

As the digital landscape is constantly evolving, we are looking for candidates who are broadly talented across a range of disciplines, technically savvy and interested in the way consumers interact with and respond to different design mediums.
To apply, include a little bit about yourself, a resume, and a link to your online portfolio. No applications will be considered without a supporting portfolio of work including, but not limited to, animated and interactive digital banners.

No recruitment agencies please.

Person specification

Reporting directly to the Digital Lead and Technical Lead, you will primarily be involved in the design, creation and delivery of online banner assets for use in both bespoke homepage takeovers and programmatic display. A proven desire to progress forward in these areas is a must, and an eagerness to learn and a strong technical mind will set you above the rest.

Fast turnarounds are the norm, so our ideal candidate will need to have a varied skill set, a calm and methodical approach and the attention to detail required to be able to deliver cutting-edge, high profile campaigns within tight timeframes.
Work will be across small and large-scale projects involving conceptual storyboarding, all the way through to standard and rich media animated rollouts and the completion of online delivery documents for multiple third-parties, including Sizmek and DoubleClick.

Localisation across multiple territories and formats is also commonplace, so your technical knowledge, attention to detail and proofing skills will need to be strong. Experience with Sizmek’s Smart Versioning would be advantageous, but training can be provided.

You’ll need great Photoshop skills and experience in creating a range of animations suitable for web using software such as Google Web Designer or Adobe Animate. Experience with code is also required (HTML, CSS, Javascript), with a more advanced knowledge in this area bringing a huge advantage.

You should be passionate about personal and professional development, getting to know our clients’ products and always strive to keep up-to-date on industry developments.

What experience do you need?

  • A willingness to work hard in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Confidence in leading and supporting creative ideas and concepts.
  • Adaptable, flexible and with a keen attention to detail.
  • Fully competent in relevant software including Adobe Animate, Google Web Designer and Photoshop.
  • Excellent proofing skills, including spelling, grammar and technical knowledge.
  • The ability to multi-task, and work quickly and accurately under pressure, to meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, driven and passionate about the tiny details.
  • A positive ‘can-do’ approach.
