Job description

At Armadillo, we work with some of the world’s biggest brands, including Disney, McDonald’s, P&O Cruises and Cunard Cruises, to produce beautifully creative and effective CRM campaigns.

We believe in the long-term success that comes from always putting the best interests of our clients and the well-being and progression of our staff at the heart of everything we do. We are ambitious and free-thinking, yet at the same time pragmatic and straightforward.

We have ambitious plans to grow the agency. Our aim is to become the UK’s most recommended CRM agency: the one everyone wants to work with or for.

So, think you can help us?

We’re looking for someone to work alongside our Conceptual Copywriter to lead our creative concepting process, while being responsible for art direction and design across multiple channels, with a focus on print and email.

Working as part of the Digital Experience team, you will be comfortable leading team discussions as well as working under your own steam.

You’ll have experience of working toward specific strategic goals, both long and short term. You’ll also be excited to use data and technology to facilitate interactive and personal communications in all channels.

  • Present and pitch work to existing clients and prospects.

  • Provide design and creative resource as required across all projects.
  • Work closely with the Digital Experience Director to evolve and grow the creative team.
  • Liaise directly with clients and third-parties to advise best practice solutions when required.
  • Keep abreast of latest design and technology developments and their impact for development and the creative communications industry.

Specific skills and experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of agency or freelance experience at a senior level.

  • Experience of creative thinking and idea generation.
  • Ability to interpret and challenge a creative brief.
  • Confident to sketch out ideas and layouts roughly by hand.
  • An ability to inspire and lead groups, especially the Digital Experience team, through conceptual and production conversations.
  • A desire to achieve high quality standards with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-starter who is solution oriented and knows how to ‘make things happen’.
  • Ability to think on their feet.

As well as the benefits you would expect, including contributory pension, cycle to work scheme and plenty of social events, at Armadillo you will also enjoy:
