We’re looking for an experienced communications consultant to join our award-winning PR agency as Speed’s Marketing Manager. This is a part time role (3x days a week ideally). The successful candidate will take on responsibility for marketing, media relations and digital content for the agency.  

Working across all divisions of the agency you’ll get ample opportunities to create impactful marketing and communications activity for the agency. Working alongside Speed’s senior management team, you will be involved in ensuring the agency is communicating with key external audiences in the right way.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintaining an overarching calendar of PR and marketing activity for Speed, including awards, events and speaking opportunities
  • Monitoring and pitching for PR opportunities for Speed in sector, industry and regional media titles
  • Pitching for profile opportunities for Speed leadership team
  • Monitoring for industry, trade and regional awards relevant for Speed and for the individual divisions and supporting with written submissions
  • Monitoring and pitching Speed senior management team for relevant speaking/panel opportunities relevant to sector expertise
  • Setting Speed profile KPIs and reporting back to the senior team on progress on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • Acting as a profile conduit between the three divisions of Speed to monitor for client campaigns and case studies that we can pitch to industry titles and promote on Speed social channels
  • Research sponsorship opportunities for Speed and make recommendations to the senior management team
  • Work closely with Speed’s digital team to manage a programme of paid-for social activity and advertising
  • Work closely with Speed’s profile and digital teams to oversee the Speed website and Speed Twitter/LinkedIn/Instagram channels to ensure they remain updated
  • Working with Speed’s existing Profile team, divisional directors and creative lead – lead on proposing creative campaigns for the agency to help drive bigger picture awareness.
  • Supporting, as required, with new business across the agency in terms of tender review and collation of assets, research for proposal development. Required to act as the Speed brand guardian on all new business documents before submission to ensure consistency

Person specification

Excellent communication and organisational skills are a given in this role. You will be self-motivated with the ability to engage and motivate others, be flexible, and have first class abilities in time management. You will have experience in PR and marketing, with an excellent appreciation of being solutions-focused.
