Job description

Based at Bristol’s Paintworks, Spicerack is a growing team of digital specialists.

We are looking for a motivated individual with proven experience in developing custom web applications and content-managed websites. The ideal candidate will be familiar with latest devops practices and be comfortable working with infrastructure as code, micro-service based architectures and cloud technologies. You will work alongside our Technology Director, development and design team creating, maintaining and supporting cutting-edge solutions using the latest open source technologies and industry best-practices.

You will be passionate about web technologies, and enjoy experimenting with the latest libraries, design patterns and platforms. A pragmatic programmer and problem solver, you will be working as part of a tight team, delivering features and updates in 2 week sprints for a range of clients and project types.

  • Experience in developing web applications, RESTFUL APIs

  • Understanding / practical application of TDD / BDD approach
  • Good HTML5, Javascript, CSS3/SCSS skills
  • A proven background working with LAMP-based development stack and web technologies
  • AWS infrastructure experience
