Contract:             0-Hours Contract from February to August 2018

Hours:                 Flexible hours to include early mornings, late evenings, and weekends

Hourly Rate:        £7.97 per hour

We are ideally looking for drivers who are 25 years old or over, to drive the curious cube around in the company van, as well as non-drivers. For van driving roles, you will need a full clean driving licence and to be 25 or over to comply with our company vehicle insurance policy.

Just a few of the curiously wonderful questions we have been asked by people – but we need more, 10,000 in fact!

We The Curious launched in September, and with this came the news of it having secured a major funding bid to redevelop the whole of the ground floor space. This redevelopment will be shaped and inspired by people’s questions. 

So we need a crew to take the Curious Cube round the city. This mirrored cube structure comes to life with questions people have asked us – reflecting the curiosity of people back at them.

The crew with be engaging and encouraging Bristolians to get curious and submit their ‘who, what when, how and whys’. The questions will be added to the Cube, our digital map of curiosity and may be selected to be bought to life and reimagined as an exhibit in the centre.

You’ll be friendly and confident people person with good problem solving skills, a full and current driving license and experience in setting up events.

Key tasks

Working with the Marketing and Audience teams to confirm the locations of the Curious Cube tour around Bristol from February to August 2018. The locations will vary and will be a mix of schools, community centres, high streets, parks and key city events, so weekend and evening work will be required.

Deliver the safe and secure transportation, set up and programming of the Curious Cube to locations, including driving the company van to transport the cube, for those that are over 25 and have a full, clean driving license.  

Carry out the safe dismantling and re-setting of a space, in line with Health & Safety regulations and the We The Curious fire evacuations procedures. Full training will be given as part of induction. 

Armed with leaflets, an ipad and a smile, promote We The Curious and the Curious Questions campaign and encourage the city of Bristol to take part and submit their questions. As brand representatives you will feel confident explaining what We The Curious is and our new direction. Full training will be given as part of the induction.

Raise awareness of the campaign by capturing and documenting the Curious Questions campaign through ‘live’ social media content, video footage, photos and reports at the various locations. Do so in a way which adheres to social media strategy and style of We The Curious as well as General Data Protection Regulations.

Report the success of the locations to help improve the project. Feedback to the Marketing insights, to be included in the brand awareness strategy and conduct market research were necessary.

Making use of every suitable opportunity to promote other products and services within the We The Curious attractions and open spaces.




Person specification

Essential skills and Experience

Previous experience of working in a customer facing role and delivering excellent customer service

Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Experience of setting up for events and knowledge of health and safety practices.

Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. We’re a team but you’ll often manage a project yourself and you need to be comfortable doing this and asking for help when you need it without holding a project up.


Desirable skills and Experience

Previous experience of working in a customer facing role in conference/events, retail or hospitality environments.

Previous experience of meeting and greeting clients and dealing with customer needs

Previous experience of setting-up and dismantling spaces for conferences/events and knowledge of the associated manual handling issues.

A first aid qualification is desirable.

A full and clean current driving licence is desirable
