In-house Recruiter (Technology)

The In-house Recruiter will take responsibility for the delivery of permanent and contract technical hires for Zone to ensure we consistently recruit the best talent.

Main responsibilities

  • Work with and exploit Zone’s direct recruitment channels (including social media) to ensure that the best candidates that fit the role requirements and we hire quality candidates at the lowest cost
  • Agree with technical and delivery hiring managers the best attraction strategies and channels to source talent
  • Conduct screening calls and pre-qualification of candidates
  • Organise and manage interviews, collate feedback to candidates and ensure that the recruitment process has momentum and is conducted fairly and objectively
  • Create and manage talent pipelines for key roles
  • Use an ATS (Workable) to track and maintain recruitment activity
  • Support continuous improvements in our hiring processes
  • Understand, review and share key talent acquisition metrics and KPI’s such as hiring sources, cost to hire, time to hire and quality of hire and campaign success
  • Pro-actively build industry knowledge and network extensively to source relevant events and meet ups to host to help find new talent for our clients
  • Ensure candidates are background screened and cleared to start work on client site as appropriate

Person specification


  • Experience of working in fast growth businesses
  • Experience of working in agencies as well as in house working on mid to senior levels in technology and delivery roles across the UK
  • Proactive, able to uncover great talent using search, headhunting techniques and relevant tools
  • Comfortable managing multiple searches at different levels with short timescales to hire
  • Superb interview style and able to identify what good talent looks like
  • Coach managers on interview skills and techniques
  • Delivery of talent projects as well as day-to-day recruitment
  • A clear communicator who can build great relationships at levels in the business, across functions and companies
  • Collaborate in style and comfortable working in a fast paced business going through a significant amount of change
  • Commercially focused self starter who has a great attention to detail

Our ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of the UK tech talent market, ideally where to find talent such as front-end developers, .net developers (sitecore and Episerver), automated testers, project managers, scrum masters and Technical Architects. They will also be open to spending time in both London, Bristol and on client sites to build relationships with internal stakeholders and the other members of the TA and People team.
