Job description

Focus are one of Bristol's longest established and trusted digital agencies. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Account Manager to join our friendly, enthusiastic and growing team.

We create large-scale and complex web sites and B2B applications, and mobile apps, for businesses, charities, government departments and local authorities across the UK and Europe. We do great work and our customers love what we do, and we have won recognition at national government level for several of our projects. Our work for local authorities genuinely changes the lives of vulnerable groups and is very rewarding to be part of.

Our team consists of client services, developers and designers and we are a close knit bunch, some of whom have been here for years (!) and we enjoy our work and support each other, so being a reliable and engaged team player is absolutely essential. You will be working on and scoping out digital projects, helping to drive work through the studio and building excellent relationships with our clients. You'll also be helping to mentor less experienced team members.  

You’ll be working with and supported by our Senior Account Manager, however you will be expected to manage your own workload, time and deadlines - ensuring that other team members and client needs are met.

Key responsibilities include:

  • building and maintaining excellent client relationships, offering help advice and support;
  • creating briefs, updating support tickets and working closely with the technical team to action work requests;
  • scheduling;
  • estimating and quotations;
  • quality assurance;
  • leading meetings;
  • social media and blogging;
  • generating reports;
  • assisting new business sales;
  • other administrative bits and bobs.


Person specification

We are looking for someone with a minimum of two years experience of working in a digital / website agency in an Account Executive or Account Manager role, with a good and demonstrable knowledge of the website production lifecycle and managing digital projects.

Some technical knowledge of website build, testing and content management.

Experience of using Google Docs, project management / task management software. 

A sound understanding of account management principles and an exceptional eye for detail.  

Excellent organisation skills and able to handle different tasks at the same time.

Genuine enthusiasm for digital and using digital to help solve problems.

It goes without saying, excellent communications and time management skills are a must.

Salary offered between £24k and £28k.
