Auditions for Short Film

Where: Knowle West Media Centre, Leinster Avenue, Knowle West, Bristol, BS4 1NL

When: 05 August 2010 4:30pm to 7:00pm

Knowle West Media Centre’s young filmmakers, Digital Fish, are casting for a short film about a young female who aspires to be a champion boxer. She faces discrimination from the coach at her local boxing club who singles her out as the only girl. She follows the advice of her late granddad, a champion boxer himself, which is echoed by a local celeb boxer who both urge her to ???follow her dreams??? and become a champion.

Auditions will be held on Thursday 5th August, from 4.30pm at KWMC

WANTED

??? Young female to play main character,

15-16 year old amateur boxer.

??? Young male, aged 15-16 years old, to

play rival boxer.

??? Young male, aged 15-16 years old, to play boxer who befriends the main character.

??? Male, approximately 50-60 years old, to play

the boxing coach.

??? Male, approximately 50-60 years old, to play

the granddad.

The film will be shown at the Brief Encounters Film Festival 2010 in Bristol. This is a voluntary opportunity. Filming is scheduled for the week of 23rd August, exact dates to be confirmed, and rehearsals will be scheduled the week of 16th August.
