This year’s Bristol Vision Institute Richard Gregory Memorial Lecture features the extraordinary Alex McDowell – the designer behind Steven Spielberg’s Minority Report and now developing virtual worlds and extraordinary experiences on the leading edge of technology and human imagination.

The event is staged in the Great Hall of Bristol University and will include a Q&A with Alex after his presentation – your opportunity to explore some new thinking.

Alex McDowell graduated from London’s Central School of Art in 1976 and has had an extraordinary career in music, feature films and virtual worlds – he is now the director of the World Building Media Lab. He is both an award-winning visionary designer and a storyteller, having worked with directors including David Fincher (Fight Club), Anthony Minghella (The English Patient) and created the fictional world for Steven Spielberg’s “Minority Report”.  Join us on a voyage of discovery through these futuristic worlds.
