Skillset Approved Re-Purposing TV Content for the Web

Bristol Media in Association with UWE have received approval from Skillset to run this course. Skillset Bursaries of up to 80% of the course cost are available for eligible candidates.

The course tutor is Simon Walker, Cameraman, Editor and Certified Apple Trainer (www.simonwalkerfreelance.com) Simon runs training courses at the Soho Training Centre in London and is in demand as a speaker and trainer nationally and internationally.

Re-purposing TV content for Multiplatform 5th-6th March (2 days)

Overview: This course will give editors and post production staff the ability to utilise content to its maximum benefit across different platforms and to different briefs. It covers a range of techniques to improve the quality of video footage and gives guidelines on the best way to compress clips.

Suitable for: Editors required to increase their skill-set to complement their main editing tasks, Producers/APs working with films and video wishing to learn the skills required to re-purpose content for multiple platforms. DVD and web authors who have to prepare disc and web projects in multiple languages and with close captioned and subtitled content.

Location: UWE Bower Ashton Campus, Kennel Lodge Road, Bristol BS3 2JT

Time:1000-1700 (including one hour for lunch)

Cost: £450.00 + VAT (not including lunch although the UWE on site Restaurant will be open)
