Your Creative Future….How to……

Over the next 6 months the Creative Skills Hub will team up with PAPER Arts to deliver a series of short evening sessions to help get your creative career off the ground.

From starting your freelance career, how to fund projects, how to build your online brand and networking skills - these short sessions will give your some practical advice and tools to move your career forward. It also offers a chance for you to network with potential collaborators

 

Wednesday 26th August: 6pm to 8pm

Your Creative Future….How to fund your creative project.

Join Aimee Davies, Head of Development at Arnolfini Arts for a 2 hours session looking at the initial stages of funding your project.

This session will provide an introduction to writing a case for support for use in funding applications. By the end of the session each participant will have a useable, if skeletal case for support for their chosen project.

Aimee will also give a brief outline of preparing a funding plan and prospect pipeline. Alongside this, you will be offered a resource kit of how and where to search for funding and source additional advice.

Please note: Particpants will be required to bring with them some existing material from their current project / idea / organisation.  More info to follow...

This session is open to everyone with limited capacity - costing £5:00 on the door

Free places are available to those involved with the Creative Employment Programme.

This course will be followed up on Weds 30th September 5-7pm with a workshop focusing on Digital Portfolios, More deatils to follow soon.

PAPER Arts is a thriving creative hub helping our community combine enterprising skills with their exisiting artistic talents, focusing specifically on supporting young unemployed people to source an income from being creative.

PAPER provides a range of services (from affordable art printing to exhibition and studio space, training courses and events) aimed at equipping young creatives with the skills and beleif they need to earn a living from doing what they love.

Since June 2014, more than 100 creatives have directly benefited from the broad range of opportunities PAPER Arts provides.
