Where: The Square Club, 15 Berkeley Square, BS8 1HB
When: 09 April 2015 6:30pm to 10:30pm
Our monthly Bristol Explorers event gives you the opportunity to meet fellow adventurers in a cosy cocktail bar, full of people who have done interesting stuff or are looking to do something exciting. Catch up on all the expedition and adventure news. Meet like-minded people. Get inspired. Everyone welcome!
This month we are joined by field zoologist Sam Jones. Sam is an ornithologist and zoologist. An avid birder and naturalist from early childhood, he has worked on an array of international research expeditions across six continents, with particular involvement in biological inventorying and monitoring expeditions in remote and poorly studied regions of the new and old world tropics.
Popular belief often dictates that most of the world's species are well documented and understood, but how much do we really know? Sam will talk about zoological expeditions and exploration in the 21st century, and how much of the world and its species are still to be discovered.
Entry Cost: £5 to include free drink
