Please join us to celebrate the launch of 'Love the Future'!

Bristol's 'Big Green Week' 13-31 June 2015 - now the biggest event of its kind in the UK - is launching a major new campaign called 'Love the Future' and we thought Valentines weekend was the perfect time to do it! (See more details about our campaign and how to send a Valentine message to the future below this email.)

Our first 'Love the Future' launch event is at Sawdays offices from 5.00 - 7.00pm, Fri 13 February.

This is a very important time for Bristol and all who live and work here.

Now 5 years old, Big Green Week includes around 150 events citywide and attracts some 50,000 people. This year we are an official programme partner of Bristol 2015 European Green Capital - we are launching Bristol's first ever 'Big Green Road Race' - and our programme of speakers includes several household names.

Hear what our partners and some well known names said about Big Green Week 2014 on our short film on our website:

So please join us to find out how you can get involved this year and hear about our relaunch in 2016 under our new Love the Future brand to build on the legacy of Bristol's European Green Capital award with a year-long programme of activity!

"We're using our new #LoveTheFuture campaign to reach an even wider audience this year, and inspire people to think about what matters to them - what they love about living in Bristol, their hopes for the city, for their future, and that of their children. It is only when people love something that they make real changes to protect and invest in that future"  Director, Alastair Sawday

Can you let me know ASAP if you can make it? We've timed it to start early and finish at 7 so you can meet us, have a glass, network with other businesses and still make that all important dinner booking...

Hope to see you there!

Big Green Week
Programme Partner of Bristol 2015 European Green Capital

"Big Green Week exemplifies why Bristol won the title of European Green Capital 2015, combining grassroots passion and an ambitious reach. With the international spotlight on Bristol as a showcase green city for Europe, the challenge is on for people to register their events to show just what they can do.

I'm calling on Bristol to help make this year's Festival a true benchmark of what can be achieved as we pass the green capital title to another city at the European Commission Conference which Big Green Week is hosting on 17 June" Mayor, George Ferguson

How your team can get involved in #LOVETHEFUTURE:

We want Bristolians to send and share a Valentine message to the future via social media - their passions, ideas, hopes and ambitions for themselves, their beloveds, their families, their city and beyond! The most creative answer will win a limited edition t-shirt designed by world-renowned Bristol-born graffiti artist, INKIE.

Bristol is on a journey to become a truly sustainable, healthy, happy city. In the run up to Big Green Week 2015 (13-21 June), we want to help people fall in love with a positive, perhaps alternative vision of the future, and start imagining and investing in how to make that happen.

#Lovethefuture messages can be as creative, inventive and bold as their senders. Is your bike your real other half? Does nature get you all a flutter? Is good food the route to your heart? Take a photo of your message and make a finger heart with your hands or download a big green heart to write it in at - or see attached. Then post via Twitter or Instagram tagged with #LoveTheFuture.

Big Green Week will be sharing your Love The Future notes, as well as inspiring ideas and alternative tips for Valentine?s Day throughout the campaign. We are spreading the love for smarter ways to live from fashion, food, art and music to transport, energy and nature.

**SIGN UP! Big Green Week event registration is now open so anyone can become part of Big Green Week and deliver exciting content easily and cheaply to thousands of potential visitors.
