What's the state of copywriting in Britain today?

Where: The Real Adventure Unlimited, One Glass Wharf, Bristol, BS2 0EL

When: 27 November 2014 6:00pm to 8:30pm

Three cities, three debates, one question - Have your say on the state of copywriting in Britain today at the Bristol screening of 'Madmen v Mavens' and panel discussion with acclaimed creatives.

Make sure you're part of the three-way conversation that will take place on one night in Bristol, Manchester and Edinburgh as part of the Campaign for great British copywriting.

Are the exemplars of great copy now only to be found in dusty yellowing annuals? Are the truly great copywriters relegated to history, the 'Madmen' era of British advertising? Or has 'copywriting' changed in the digital age so that what is truly great is scarcely recognisable by past standards?

A panel discussion featuring acclaimed senior creatives will follow a screening of 'Madmen v Mavens', an original short film which features interviews with 11 great copywriters speaking out on their craft.

Panellists confirmed:

Frazer Howard, Creative Director, Havas EHS
Bryony Thomas, author of Watertight Marketing and Commercial Karma
Sharon Tanton, Creative Director and Chief Wordsmith, Valuable Content, and co-author of The Valuable Content Marketing Book
Ian Bates, Creative Director, The Real Adventure

Promising to be as contentious as it does contagious, the film, debate and networking drinks will give you the chance to have your say.
