Networking for Freelancers with little ones
Where: SS Great Britain Car park, Gas Ferry Rd, BS1 6TY
When: 31 July 2014 10:00am to 11:30am
Don't let having little ones stop you from networking!
Parents in business, with little ones, are invited to network & bring their children to a unique networking event for freelancers.
This event is organised by Freelance Mum, Faye Dicker. It is a facilitated walk setting off from the SS Great Britain car park, around the docks. There will be a short stop at @Bristol, for little ones to play in the small play area & their parents to listen to a keynote speaker, before resuming the walk.
The event will end in the SS GB car park, where there is a cafe area, for those who want to continue their conversations/feed their little ones.
We know how tricky it is leaving the house with children, so if you are running late on the day & still wish to attend you have options! You can either phone ahead & let us know, then hot foot it round the docks & join us. Or, park at @Bristol and join us in the cafe area. We estimate we will arrive there at 10.40am.
We anticipate the event will end by 11.30am. Timings are approximate, as due to the nature of the event, we will be walking at the slowest persons rate - which might be a toddler! A lap of the docks is just over 2 miles.
There will also be an activity provided by Seeing Sticks to help keep little ones occupied, while you are walking.
This event is sponsored by Relish Events, who will provide a tasty snack at the end of the walk.
The event is aimed specifically for parents with pre-school children. However, we understand it's the school holidays and some parents will have older siblings. On this occasion, older siblings can come along, provided you are happy they won't be too distracting. The aim is to network.
Likewise, if your children are in childcare that day & you would still like to attend, you are more than welcome.
We're sorry, no dogs on the walk.
Please bring proof of ticket, your 'babies' and business cards. Parking £2 for 2 hours in the SS GB car park. No change is given.
Any other questions, please fire away.
Entry Cost: £5.95
