Love, Lust & Libido - Animated Short Films About Love, Sex & Relationships

Where: The Brewery Theatre, 291 North Street, Southville, Bristol,, BS3 1JP

When: 17 March 2014 8:00pm to 10:30pm

CineMe and Skwigly Online Animation Magazine presents Love, Lust and Libido, an evening of award winning animated short films.

Love, Lust and Libido will focus on the distinctly adult side of animation and its effective use as a medium to create compelling, exciting and amusing films about love, sex and relationships. Not for the easily-offended (and definitely not for children), the evening will span an international gamut of directors, a wide variety of animation techniques and a mix of commissioned, professional and student films alike.

Amongst the filmmakers included are BAFTA winner Grant Orchard of StudioAKA with Yeah Just There; New York based Latvian animator Signe Baumane with Teat Beat of Sex; Ottawa Animation Festival winner Ruth Lingford with Little Deaths; Slamdance winner Tor Fruergaard of the National Film School of Denmark with Venus; Michal Socha with the award winning Chick and many more.

The evening will be curated by Skwigly content producer Ben Mitchell and features writer Laura-Beth Cowley and CineMe's James Ewen. There is over 90 minutes of content with all manner of animation techniques, from traditional stop-motion to advanced digital processes. There will be an interval, a prize draw and the bar will be open during the performance.

CineMe launched in 2008 and runs short film events to promote emerging filmmakers and offers networking opportunities for creatives. Skwigly Online Animation Magazine remains the UK's leading resource for animation news, interviews, features, podcasts and exclusive content.
