CineMe Shorts - Bristol Spotlight (With a Q&A with BAFTA winning director Rachel Tillotson)

Where: The Tobacco Factory Theatre, Raleigh Road, Bedmister, Bristol,, BS3 1TF

When: 14 January 2014 8:00pm to 11:00pm

CineMe has been running for 5 years, hosting short film events around Bristol to champion local creative talent and to put Bristol filmmaking on the map.

Our event on January 14th puts Bristol independent filmmakers in the spotlight. We will be showing over 80 minutes of short films produced in Bristol with a selection of award winning and festival entries including animation, drama, documentary and music video. There's the opportunity to meet the filmmakers, listen to the stories behind the making of the films and network with other creatives. It's also the chance for film enthusiasts to watch a variety of independent films that they would not have the opportunity to see at their multiplex cinema.

The main films screened on the evening will be Rachel Tillotson's comedy Fuel which was aired by Film Four and I'll Tell You, winner of the Best South West Jury Award at the Encounters Film Festival. After the screenings Rachel will be running a Q&A session discussing her work on various short film projects, features and television programmes.

Other shorts being shown include the experimental music video Fear and Delight by The Correspondents; the charming animation Sun by animator Paul Hill; the documentary Best Medicine, which premiered at this years Encounters Festival; Hetty Metcalfe's drama fly; Ancient made at the UWE Animation School and lots more short film gems.

The event will also include a prize giveaway (DVD's, CD's, books, posters and movie merchandise). The bar will be open throughout the duration of the event.
