Spike Design Open Wednesday with lunchtime talk by Rights.tv

Spike Design is a co-working space for creative businesses that offers a lively culture of collaboration and community and is home to a range of graphic, product, digital and interactive designers as well as journalists, illustrators, filmmakers and photographers.
On Wednesday 27 November 2013 Spike Design are offering hot-desking and advice sessions with their with expert business advisor John Hector and from Carole Sartain of Creative Skillset. In addition, Senior Business Affairs Manager at Rights TV, Jane Hyndman, will give a lunchtime talk on the key issues facing start ups including freelancing, setting up a limited company, joint ventures, getting investment and exploiting and protecting your Intellectual Property. This opportunity to seek advice and experience the resources available within Spike Design's shared work space is free and open to any desk based creative businesses. Spike Island's recent merger with Picture This to form Spike Film and Video means that the in-house expertise that Spike Design offers may be of particular interest to film, animation and digital businesses.
Open Wednesday is free and available from 10am-4pm. Jane Hyndman will give a talk on 'Start Ups: Key Issues to Consider' at 1pm, and will be available for questions afterwards. Booking is advised please contact Jane Macfarlane or call 0117 954 4000.
